Warm-ups & Cool-downs Matter

Incorporating a proper warm-up and cool-down routine into your dog’s exercise regimen is a small but significant way to promote their health and well-being. It enhances their performance, reduces the risk of injuries, and allows your furry companion to enjoy exercise to the fullest. Remember, a little extra care before and after physical activity can go a long way to keeping your dog happy, healthy, and ready for all the adventures ahead.

Warming up your dog before exercise isn’t about tiring them out; it’s about getting their body ready for action. For sporting or working dogs, a more targeted warm-up is essential. But the golden rule is that your dog should always warm up and stretch BEFORE any formal training or work begins. This practice reduces the risk of injuries and ensures your dog can perform at its best.

Just as warming up is essential, cooling down is equally important. After any training or strenuous activity, give your dog time to calm down and lower their heart rate before engaging in any stretching exercises. This helps prevent muscle soreness and ensures a smooth.
